Frequently asked questions

What is SignumEra?

SignumEra is an electronic-signature execution layer built around identity, ceremony policy, signer-specific access, finalization, evidence and return to the selected system of record.

Do signers need Zoom or Teams?

No. A signer can authenticate, review, verify and sign through a private SignLink without having Zoom or Teams.

Can a ceremony run live?

Yes. SignumEra can use Microsoft Teams or Zoom for live context, or run asynchronously with the same authoritative ceremony state.

Does Microsoft login require Graph permissions?

No. Organization login can use OpenID Connect scopes for identity. Graph permissions are requested only when a Microsoft workflow actually requires them.

How does Active Directory fit?

Microsoft Entra ID can authenticate organizational users and deliver application-role claims. SignumEra maps those claims into its own server-enforced authorization model.

Are Microsoft Global Administrators automatically SignumEra administrators?

No. Microsoft tenant administration and SignumEra workspace administration are separate authorities.

Can SignumEra use passkeys?

Yes. Depending on ceremony policy, WebAuthn/passkeys can strengthen signing and owner-finalization actions.

Where are completed records kept?

Finalized documents and configured evidence return to the selected system of record such as Microsoft 365, Clio Manage or Salesforce.

What is an evidence package?

It is broader than a chronological audit trail and can include document integrity, identity, policy, events, verification, cryptographic and configured meeting evidence.

What does the Verified Owner account include?

A new Verified Owner Yearly account receives the first year included and 20 signing credits for that annual period, with no reusable KYC/KYB credits.

What happens after the first year?

Verified Owner Yearly renews at $19 per year unless the user upgrades or cancels.

Does SignumEra replace our document or CRM system?

No. SignumEra is designed as an execution layer and returns the completed record to the system your organization already governs.

What happens if the source document changes after Prepare?

The frozen Execution Target is no longer valid for that revision. A changed source version/eTag, content hash or other material ceremony input requires a new revision and manifest before execution continues.

How is presence handled in a live or witness ceremony?

When policy requires presence or quorum, SignumEra validates authenticated presence on the server and blocks signing or finalization if the requirement is not satisfied.
