Signing ceremony

A signature is an action. A ceremony is the controlled context that makes the action defensible.

SignumEra can run live in Zoom or Microsoft Teams, or asynchronously through private SignLinks. The authoritative ceremony state stays in SignumEra; live and witness modes can require server-validated presence and quorum before signing or finalization is allowed.

Key controls

One authoritative ceremony state across live and asynchronous signing.

Meeting hosts provide context. SignumEra remains authoritative for the document target, roles, policy, presence requirements, signatures, exceptions and finalization.

Prepare before execution

Choose the authoritative agreement, participants, roles, order, assurance and evidence policy before signatures begin.

Resolved Execution Target

Before Prepare, resolve the source system, document identity, immutable revision marker such as version/eTag, execution content hash and resolution time. A changed source revision requires a new target.

Frozen execution manifest

Freeze the Execution Target, participants and roles, order, ceremony mode, witness rules and finalizer. Material changes require a new revision and manifest.

Zoom, Teams or no live meeting

Bind live context when useful or continue asynchronously without changing the ceremony authority model.

Authenticated presence and quorum

Live and witness ceremonies can require server-validated authenticated presence and quorum. Signing and finalization are blocked when required presence is not satisfied.

Private, role-scoped SignLinks

Each external recipient receives a path scoped to that recipient and role, not a shared generic signing URL.

Executable ceremony policy

Order, witnesses, verification requirements, evidence requirements and finalization conditions are enforced server-side.

Append-only ceremony events

Presence changes and material actions are recorded as append-only server events with timestamps and reason codes where applicable.

Explicit owner finalization

Completion is not merely the last signature. The responsible owner finalizes the authoritative record subject to policy.

One model across live and asynchronous signing

Keep the same policy, identity, order and finalization controls across Zoom, Teams and asynchronous SignLinks.

Witness relationships

Define who witnesses whom, eligibility and any required live-presence/evidence conditions rather than treating the witness as just another field.

Low-friction adoption

Start with a real account. 20 signing credits. One year included.
